Here at Paladin Combatives we are huge fans of reloading. It can be a fun hobby and a way to save money on ammo leading to more training time. Reloads are allowed in our classes with a few small caveats.
As the student and owner of the ammunition, you are responsible for any damage or injury that occurs from faulty or improperly reloaded ammunition.
Please avoid letting other students use your ammunition or loaded firearm. Most students will not understand the signs of a squib load and could cause injury to themselves or damage your property.
If a Paladin instructor comes to help you with a malfunction or test some aspect of your firearm, please just let them know you are using reloads. We have experience with reloaded ammunition and can help assess problems.
While we support the reloading community, understand that bringing reloads to a class is a risk. If the ammunition doesn’t function correctly you may not be able to participate in all of the drills and may not get as much training value as you would have otherwise. Keep this in mind when making the economic decision about using reloads. If a training class is important, consider also investing in factory ammunition. No refunds will be given for lost training value due to faulty reloaded ammunition.
